About this product

Gates CDX belts are made with extra reinforced carbon fibres and an extra wear-resistant polyurethane running surface. CDX components are the strongest and most durable parts of the belt drive system, making them ideal for use on mountain bikes and e-MTBs with mid motors and high torque.

What is the difference between the fully black and black/blue belt?
There is no functional difference between the black and black-blue CDX Carbon drive belts from Gates; both are identical in terms of technology, strength, and durability. The colour difference is purely cosmetic. Both belts have a similar lifespan and are designed for heavy-duty conditions.

Technology and strength:
Both belts are CDX Carbon, which means they are reinforced with carbon fibres for extra strength and durability, with a lifespan of around 10,000 to 15,000 kilometres.
